This cake will be sure to kick off any celebration, ideal for any football fan. A light sponge cake sandwiched with raspberry jam and vanilla buttercream, finished with a grass effect green vanilla buttercream. Topped with a madeira and chocolate sponge dome football covered in soft sugar paste. Cake can be personalised with a name (up to 10 letters) and a number (up to 2 digits). For single digits 1 to 9, please type ‘0’ before the required number to indicate it is a single digit (the ‘0’ will not be iced onto the cake)

Great cake and plenty of portions . The base cake was the better one of the two with lovely jam and butter cream. The football was a little dry and could have benefited from a jam and more buttercream filling.

Looked great, but too sweet
The cake looked great and was a great size. The ordering and collection were easy. However, it wasn't as good to eat - the icing was overly thick, and both cake and icing were way too sweet. Even my children didn't want to eat it.

Although the cake is a great size, it was beautifully decorated and packaged, l found it not as moist as many other M&S cakes l have had over the years.

This was bought for a special birthday. The football top of the cake was excellent and a good mix of flavours and appropriate amount of buttercream and icing. The ‘field’ element had rather too much icing on the corners and that part was left on one side by some people.
